Speaking of strong, dedicated, and full of heart, Evie Dugan, 91, our longest serving volunteers, was recognized recently by the Philadelphia Phillies.
We at the Warminster Food bank are grateful and honored to have one of our volunteers, Evie Dugan, recognized as a “Phillies Hometown Hero” on Saturday, June 22nd. In a sweltering afternoon game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phillies also honored Evie, a lifelong fan, to a 12 to 1 victory.
Evie and her family were thrilled by the experience with the Phillies and we are thrilled to have the benefit of her wisdom and expertise in serving the community in our fight against local food insecurity.
She’s always been a hero to us and to the thousands of people she has served over the years.
