Volunteer Opportunity: Van Drivers Needed for Warminster Food Bank

About the Opportunity


Warminster Food Bank, a respected 501c3 local charitable organization, is seeking reliable van drivers to assist with the pickup of donations from local retail donors.

Key Responsibilities
– Pick up donations from stores including Giant, ShopRite, Aldi, Target, and Walmart.
– Drive the organization’s 2024 Mercedes Sprinter Van (diesel, automatic transmission).
– Valid PA driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. No CDL necessary.
– Must be over 25 years old due to insurance regulations.
– Ability to stack and load boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
– Drivers may sign up for regular weekly pickups or serve as substitute drivers as needed.
– Each pickup typically takes about one hour from departure to return.
– Donations will be offloaded at the food bank with assistance from in-house volunteers.

Schedule
– Pickups are mostly scheduled on weekday mornings between 8:30am and 11:00am.
– Occasional Saturday pickups may be required.
– Drivers may sign up for a single store pickup day or multiple stores/days if desired.

Warminster Food Bank is located at 495 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 (Warminster Township) in the Town and Country Shopping Center.
