Evelyn Dugan has volunteered for 45 years at the organization.
(WARMINSTER, Pa.)— Warminster Food Bank recently honored 90-year-old Bucks County
resident Evelyn “Evie” Dugan for her 45 years of service at the organization’s Volunteer Meeting
and Holiday Breakfast held at the Five Ponds Country Club in Warminster.
In addition to being honored by Warminster Food Bank, Dugan received a Certificate of Merit
from Warminster Rotary Club and a Citation from Pennsylvania State Representative Brian
Monroe (D-114 th District), commending her on her years of service with the food bank, where
she began volunteering in 1978. “The foundations of communities like ours rest heavily on the
backs of those in our community who give back, volunteer, and are empathetic of their
neighbors,” said State Representative Brian Monroe (D-144 District). “Evelyn Dugan is one of
those community members. Her 45 years of volunteerism for her community and for the
Warminster Food Bank has eased the discomfort and suffering of so many in our community. I
give a full throated thank you Evelyn! Your community appreciates you!”

At Dugan’s celebration, Mike Cerino, Executive Director, Warminster Food Bank, remarked,
“Evie, I want to make one thing perfectly clear, this is not a retirement, but a long overdue
recognition.” Cerino continued, “So, if there ever comes a time when you think about what we
have done in the last 45 years, or what we are going to do together in the next years, you can
easily say to yourself, we did good, we got it right!”
